The Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) may revoke the business registrations of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) and its subsidiaries if public interest is deemed jeopardised.
Domestic Trade and Costs of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali announced that the agency is currently reviewing the business network linked to the controversial Al-Arqam sect, which has been implicated in allegations of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
GISBH positions itself as a Muslim-run enterprise, boasting assets valued at RM325 million and operating 415 business outlets across 20 countries, including regions in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australasia.
