Rally May Stall For Bursa Malaysia

Bursa Malaysia has tracked higher in back-to-back sessions, collecting almost 10 points or 0.6 percent along the way.

The Kuala Lumpur Composite Index now rests just beneath the 1,675-point plateau although it may run out of steam on Thursday.

At 9.15am, the FBMKLCI dipped -3.19 points to open at 1,670.19

RHB Retail Research (RHB) in a note today (Sept 26) said the FKLI printed a Doji candlestick on Wednesday as momentum remained neutral throughout the entire session.

The index initially began trading at 1,667.50 pts, only to whipsaw between 1,673 pts and 1,660 pts before closing at the opening level.

The latest price action shows both the bulls and bears sharing equal strength.

The index will likely move sideways in the coming sessions.

In the event selling pressure increases, the index may pull back towards the 50-day SMA line.

Still, they see the medium-term moving average line moving upwards, lending support to the index.

Post consolidation, the index should resume its upside movement and test the 1,700-pt level.

For now, RHB said they retain their positive trading bias.
