IRB has issued a statement with regards to GISB whereby reports emerged that the beleagured company had never paid taxes for all its subsidiaries.
The board said that more than 60 audit reviews were carried out against GISBH, the companies, and individuals for the previous years’s assessment years with individuals being subjected to compound and penalties, however, it also said that they were settled.
It added there has been no special treatment for any individual or companies and said it has always conducted tax compliance matters on GISBH its companies and related individuals professionally.
