PIKOM announced its new leadership team at its 38th Annual General Meeting with the appointment of Alex Liew, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Glocomp Systems, as the Chairman for the 2024/2025 term.
“It is an honour to serve as the Chairman of PIKOM. As we step into 2025, our mission is clear: to embrace change, adapt swiftly to the evolving tech landscape, and champion the interests of our members. Together with my fellow Councillors, we aim to foster collaboration, harness new technologies, and ensure Malaysia remains competitive on the global digital stage,” said Alex Liew in his inaugural statement as Chairman.
He further emphasized his commitment to inclusivity and expanding PIKOM’s initiatives to reach all regions of Malaysia, including the northern, southern, and eastern areas. “We aim to ensure that every member, regardless of their geographical location, benefits from PIKOM’s programs and initiatives. By increasing activities and engagement in these regions, we hope to foster a truly united and thriving tech community. Additionally, we are committed to creating programs that are inclusive for all members, recognizing and spotlighting industry players who are excelling and driving innovation forward,” added Alex Liew.
The AGM also saw the election of an accomplished team of industry leaders to the Council. Their collective expertise spans AI, software development, cybersecurity, e-commerce, automation, and cutting-edge innovations, embodying PIKOM’s commitment to representing the diverse tech ecosystem.
