KPMG Malaysia has announced that Foong Mun Kong is now the firm’s Managing Partner, effective Jan 1, 2025. The appointment marks a seamless transition from Datuk Johan Idris, who concluded his tenure as Managing Partner on Dec 31, 2024, and now serves as Non-Executive Chairman, offering strategic guidance to the firm.
Foong, who previously led KPMG Malaysia’s Audit division, brings over 30 years of experience in audit and assurance. Together, we have the building blocks in place to uphold the quality, integrity, and trust that define us and shape a future-ready KPMG—to deliver long-term value and positive impact to the clients and communities we serve,” Foong said.
The new leadership team is set to build on KPMG Malaysia’s legacy while navigating future challenges, ensuring continued growth and client impact.
