Chaumet unveils a new High Jewellery creative capsule collection titled Bamboo. In celebration of its 240-year connection with nature and tribute to Asia, the collection highlights the bamboo as a symbol of resilience and beauty, embodying the intersection of earth and sky.
Maison Chaumet has long been celebrated as a “naturalist jeweller,” deeply influenced by Empress Joséphine’s profound passion for botany. Since its founding, the brand has seamlessly woven nature into its design ethos, with each workshop manager reinterpreting natural motifs across generations. With their latest collection, Chaumet presents a ten-piece graphic parure featuring designs incorporating engraved yellow gold and white gold for a striking contrast.
Among the pieces in the collection is a striking bib necklace that adds contemporary flair to the neckline, designed with graphic leaves and stems. Its plunging ‘V’ shape draws inspiration from modern sketches and pieces within Chaumet’s storied heritage, exemplifying the Maison’s distinctive style. The necklace is further enhanced by a stunning 13.19-carat black Australian opal. This opal exhibits a vivid play of colours, ranging from bright blue to apple green, which is beautifully complemented by tsavorite garnets.
This colour palette is reflected in three bold brooches, each showcasing its own distinctive feature. One brooch transforms into a hair ornament, while another comprises two elements designed to be worn as a pair. The third brooch is characterized by flexible diamond bands. Additionally, the collection includes three rings that explore similar gem and colour associations, each with its unique attributes.
The first ring is topped with a 7.24-carat cushion-cut tsavorite garnet; the second revisits the toi et moi motif in an innovative way, mirroring the garnet’s intensity through the opal’s vibrant hues. The third ring, with its elongated form, elegantly wraps around the finger, highlighting the capsule’s slender silhouette.
Crowning this powerful parure is a tiara that embodies Chaumet’s signature style. The piece merges abstraction with goldsmithing excellence through its hand-engraved foliage, infusing the jewel with dynamic energy and vitality.
