HSS Engineers’ 4Q24 Net Profit Surges 85.6% To RM10.7 Million

HSS Engineers Bhd recorded a massive jump in its fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2024 (4Q24), net profit after it achieved RM10.7 million compared to RM5.8 million in 4Q23, as the 4Q24 topline expanded by 32.4% to RM59.9 million from RM45.3 million in 4Q23.

The engineering and project management consultant’s order book stands at RM2.1 billion as of Dec 31, 2024, and will be billed progressively over the next eight years.

The robust order book includes key contract wins secured in its financial year ended Dec 31, 2024 (FY24), such as Westport 2 Expansion Development Phase 1, two new data centre projects in Johor and the group’s largest-ever contract — Baghdad Metro.

At the same time, the group is also actively tendering for RM504 million worth of projects across various sectors and countries while strategically diversifying its portfolio for additional growth avenues.

Meanwhile, the group also delivered strong financial results for its FY24 as its net profit increased by 23% to RM25.2 million compared to RM20.4 million in FY23.

The impressive achievement was driven by the group’s bold strategies, including expanding its presence in international markets and deepening its involvement in fast-growing sectors.

Capitalising on emerging opportunities, the group has strengthened its regional market position, providing impetus to its strong financial performance and long-term growth prospects.

The record-high net profit followed a 7.5% increase in revenue to RM201.5 million in FY24 compared to RM187.3 million recorded in FY23, buoyed by contributions from various high-impact infrastructure projects in Malaysia and abroad.

Looking ahead, the group aims to derive 25% of its revenue from overseas ventures by 2027, further solidifying its position as a global engineering leader.
