Applications for the ASEAN Goods Vehicle Cross-Border Permit (AGVCBP) open today under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Inter-State Transport (AFAFIST), the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) announced.
Under AFAFIST, approved licensed transport operators can conduct cross-border operations involving goods vehicles between two neighbouring ASEAN member countries. APAD described the initiative as a strategic move to enhance economic integration within ASEAN.
“By facilitating the movement of goods vehicles, this agreement helps to reduce trade barriers, improve logistics and trade efficiency between ASEAN countries, further making the ASEAN region more competitive at the global level,” APAD said in a statement.
Applications can be submitted online via the Commercial Vehicle Licensing System (iSPKP) portal.
For further details, the Goods Vehicle Service Level Requirements (International Circulation) (Cross Border ASEAN) can be downloaded at APAD’s website. Meanwhile, licensing guidelines for ASEAN Cross-Border Goods Vehicles are available at this link.
