Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, SCIB Properties Sdn. Bhd. has issued a Notice of Termination to Ennova Sdn. Bhd. (ENNOVA) to terminate their Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract for the DBKL Integrated Smart Lamp Pole Replacement project in Klang Valley.
The 2022 contract amount for the project was estimated at RM30.7 million for the installation of 200 units of smart lamp poles (Monopoles).
The termination stems from a dispute regarding the completion of works, with ENNOVA the contractor who awarded the DBKL project acknowledging the completion of all works, including variations, by SCIBP on September 5, 2023 but failed to make payment for the job done.
