UEM Sunrise Bhd has unveiled One Oval, its flagship residential project in Subiaco East, marking a bold new chapter in the transformation of the iconic Subiaco Oval precinct in Western Australia.
Set to become the first residential development under the Subiaco East Masterplan led by DevelopmentWA, One Oval is not only a striking architectural addition but a powerful tribute to the suburb’s storied past. With early registrations for apartments now open, excitement is building around what promises to be one of the most significant lifestyle projects in the area.
From Sporting Icon to Urban Oasis
Once the beating heart of Western Australian sport, Subiaco Oval hosted decades of football, rugby and concerts before its demolition in 2019.
Today, its preserved playing field remains a community park and One Oval is poised to redefine how people live, connect and relax in this vibrant pocket of Perth.
“We are proud to unveil One Oval as the name for our first project in Western Australia.
“This location holds deep sporting and cultural significance, and we see this as an opportunity to create something truly special that speaks to both history and the future,” UEM Sunrise’s Officer in Charge and Chief Financial Officer Hafizuddin Sulaiman said.
Designed for Modern Living with Heritage at Heart
Hafizuddin shared that the project will deliver 342 premium residential units across two parcels: Lot 1, featuring dynamic towers of 36 and 26 storeys, and Lot 2, with an 11-storey mid-rise. Residents can choose from one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with over 70% dedicated to spacious two- and three-bedroom units ideal for inter-generational and contemporary living.
“The design places a strong emphasis on wellness, inclusivity and community connection, incorporating elevated park side living, 400 sqm of ground-floor retail and dedicated open space for events and recreation around the preserved oval,” Hafizuddin said.
A New Lifestyle Destination
He added that One Oval is more than just a residential address, it’s a lifestyle destination. Future plans include art activations, community event spaces, and facilities to support local football clubs, creating a new hub of social and cultural energy for Subiaco residents.
“One Oval offers premium residences that are thoughtfully curated and innovatively designed.
“It’s a place where heritage meets modernity, where communities grow, and where lifestyle takes centre stage,” Hafizuddin shared.
He noted that construction for the project is slated to begin in 2026, with Lot 2 expected to complete in early 2029, followed by Lot 1 later that year.
