This summer, Gucci is serving up a stylish upgrade to tennis fashion with the launch of a new sports-inspired ready-to-wear and accessories collection. Framed through a cinematic lens, the brand’s latest campaign transports viewers to a sun-drenched court, drawing inspiration from the House’s tennis-focused offerings of the 1970s.
The collection features a refined selection of garments, including crisp, pleated polos and sleeveless vests, all accented with Gucci’s signature “Web” stripe. Classic tennis whites are reimagined with contemporary cuts and proportions, blending tradition with modernity.
The womenswear explores sharp, clean lines with pleated skirts and structured leisurewear. Meanwhile, the menswear offers minimalist tailoring and short-sleeve polos with structured collars.
Alongside the main garments, Gucci introduces a curated selection of accessories that echo the retro theme. Think old-school headbands, metallic aviators, and monogrammed handbags and duffles, all detailed with leather trim.
A standout feature of the collection is an exclusive tennis racket developed in collaboration with HEAD. The racket boasts an interlocking G emblem on the red string bed and Gucci Web striping along the frame.
Based on the HEAD Speed MP model, it includes an anti-vibration dampener for enhanced control and balance. The racket comes with a bespoke blue Gucci case featuring Web striping, zip compartments, and an adjustable strap, combining practicality with luxury design.
Gucci’s partnership with HEAD is not new. Their earlier collaboration included custom duffles for tennis star and brand ambassador Jannik Sinner. That partnership signalled Gucci’s serious move into sport-oriented fashion, a focus that continues with this performance-ready racket.
Available now online and in select Gucci stores, the collection strikes a balance between nostalgia and function. It’s not about dressing up for sport but rather elevating the sport itself into a lived-in, stylish lifestyle.
