Senior Directors Resign En Masse From Boustead Heavy Industries

Boustead Heavy Industries Berhad (BHIC) has confirmed the immediate resignation of three of its senior directors.

In an announcement today, the group stated that independent non-executive directors Izaddeen Daud, Dr Salihin Abang, and Saadatul Nafisah all tendered their resignations on the same day. The reasons for their simultaneous departures were not immediately disclosed by the company.

Izaddeen Daud was appointed to the BHIC board in December 2022. His background includes a significant tenure within the wider Boustead Holdings Berhad group, where he served as Group Chief Executive Officer from March 2021 to November 2022. Prior to that, he held positions such as Deputy Group Managing Director, Acting CEO of Boustead Properties Berhad, and Executive Director of Group Business Development at Boustead Holdings Berhad. He also served as the Executive Chairman of E&E Gas Sdn Bhd from 2013 to January 2021.

The resignations of these three senior figures will likely draw scrutiny from investors and industry observers, raising questions about the future direction and stability of Boustead Heavy Industries Berhad. The company has yet to announce any replacements or provide further details regarding the departures.
