Bosch, the global technology and services powerhouse, has appointed Darren Chan Chon Hoe as the new Managing Director of Bosch Malaysia, effective July 1, 2025, marking the first time a Malaysian has held the role.
Chan’s appointment reflects Bosch’s strong confidence in the Malaysian market and its commitment to nurturing local leadership with deep industry expertise and market understanding. He will retain his current positions as CEO and Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth Malaysia, and regional technology leader for industrial hydraulics at Bosch Rexroth ASEAN.
He takes over from Bosch Southeast Asia Regional President Vijay Ratnaparkhe, who had served as Bosch Malaysia Interim Managing Director for the past 11 months.
“Chan’s deep industry knowledge and strong connection to the local market make him the right person to lead Bosch Malaysia into its next chapter,” said Ratnaparkhe.
Chan, who brings more than 20 years of experience in industrial automation across Southeast Asia, sees the new role as a platform to contribute to Malaysia’s economic future.
“Taking on this role is a great honour and an opportunity to support national progress. I aim to strengthen public-private collaboration and continuous talent development, both critical to improving Malaysia’s gross national income per capita,” Chan said.
