For the current quarter ended 30 June 2025, Berjaya Land reported a revenue of RM1.91 billion and pre-tax profit of RM15.45 million as compared to a revenue of RM2.13 billion and pre-tax profit of RM34.69 million in the preceding quarter ended 31 March 2025.
Full-year loss expanded to RM102million compared to RM87 million in FY2024, revenue however was steady at RM7.5 billion against RM7.6 billion the preceding year.
The Group reported lower revenue in the current quarter mainly due to lower revenue reported by STM Lottery from lesser number of draws conducted in the current quarter. In addition, the preceding quarter had benefitted from stronger sales performance, particularly from the Supreme
Toto 6/58 game; lower property progress billings reported by property development and investment business segment; and H.R. Owen reported a drop of 7.4% in revenue in the current quarter as compared to the preceding quarter,
The above were mitigated by hotels and resorts business segment which reported higher revenue due to higher overall occupancy rate and higher overall average room rate during the current quarter under review.
The Group reported a lower pre-tax profit in the current quarter mainly due to the lower profit contribution from STM Lottery mainly due to lower revenue and higher operating expenses,
including corporate social responsibility sponsorships incurred during the current quarter under review: and H.R. Owen reported a lower pre-tax profit as compared to the preceding quarter primarily due to the reduced sales recorded during the current quarter.
The Group had also accounted additional impairment on balance sale proceeds of Great Mall Project amounting to RM47.8 million and the impairment of amounts owing by associated companies amounting to RM29.7 million in current quarter under review.
