Air Selangor Completes RM1.5 Billion Sukuk Issuance, Plans Use For Rasau Project

Air Selangor announced that it has completed the issuance of its 7th and largest tranche of the SRI Sukuk valued at RM 1.5 billion. The issuance comprises five series with maturities ranging from seven to twenty-five years and marks the 8th issuance under the company’s Sukuk Murabahah Programme, which was upsized to RM 20.0 billion to support long-term infrastructure and sustainability objectives.

The state-owned water management company said the issuance received strong investor demand.
achieving an oversubscription of 2.51 times with a total order book of RM3.77 billion.

Proceeds from the SRI Sukuk will be allocated to eligible projects, including the Rasau Water
Supply Scheme and pipe replacement programmes.

This issuing bank was Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, acting as Principal Adviser, Lead Arranger, and Shariah Adviser, alongside CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and Maybank Investment Bank Berhad as Joint Lead Managers.
