Bitcoin, Ethereum Extend Gains Amid Institutional Optimism

Bitcoin and Ethereum edged higher on Oct 20, buoyed by sustained institutional demand and improved market sentiment.

Bitcoin rose 0.6% to US$110,995, holding near recent highs, while Ethereum gained 0.8% to US$4,047, supported by growing interest in decentralised finance and staking activity.

Analysts said renewed inflows from traditional investors and optimism following spot Bitcoin ETF approvals continued to lift prices

Standard Chartered recently raised its year-end forecast for Ether to US$7,500, citing solid fundamentals and rising institutional accumulation.

Despite the upbeat tone, traders cautioned that volatility remains elevated amid global economic uncertainties.
