SME Venture@ASEAN 2025, organized by SME Corp Malaysia and recognized by the ASEAN Records as the largest ASEAN SME trade event, concluded with RM520 million in potential sales from 424 business matching sessions held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, from October 16 to 18, 2025.
The event, held in conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, attracted 13,850 visitors and saw participation from 364 SMEs and 60 buyers in the GoASEAN Biz Match, including prominent local companies such as Mydin Mohamed Holdings, Aeon Co (M) Bhd and UDA Holdings, alongside international buyers from China, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia.
A total of 370 exhibitors, including 62 international participants from ASEAN, Germany, India, Japan, Oman and Taiwan, showcased innovations from high-impact and consumer product sectors. The event also hosted 19 SMEs in its Pitch2Go funding session, securing a total of RM70 million in funding and investments from private equity firms, venture capitalists and peer-to-peer financing platforms.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee Daud, who officiated the closing ceremony, said the ministry and SME Corp. Malaysia remain committed to strengthening SME capacity to expand beyond domestic markets.
“With a clear focus under the 13th Malaysia Plan on scaling up SMEs, we aim to drive long-term growth, boost competitiveness and ensure sustainability,” he said.
SME Corp Malaysia Chief Executive Officer and Organising Chairman Rizal Dato’ Nainy said the event achieved its goal of connecting entrepreneurs, inspiring innovation and strengthening collaboration within ASEAN. He added that the strong participation reflected Malaysia’s readiness to lead regional SME growth and intra-ASEAN trade.
The programme also featured two forums, the ESG Forum organised in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the ASEAN SME Forum co-organised with the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Malaysia (SAMENTA), which drew nearly 500 participants.
During the closing ceremony, the SME Venture@ASEAN 2025 Awards were presented to recognise outstanding SME achievements. Ventura IOT Sdn Bhd received the Outstanding SME Award, CG Global Profastex Manufacturing Sdn Bhd was honoured with the Outstanding Women SME Award, while Rodrell Sdn Bhd took home the Outstanding Youth SME Award.
