iCAUR Malaysia has officially launched the iCAUR V23, its second model for the local market, following the iCAUR 03. Positioned as Malaysia’s first fully electric off-road capable SUV, the C-segment V23 aims to pioneer the adventure BEV category by combining performance, safety, and versatility.
Chery International Executive Vice President Chen Chun Qing said, “As a key brand of the Chery Automotive Group, iCAUR is envisioned under Chery’s long-term strategy, ‘Co-Create, Co-Define,’ which signals a major transformation from a traditional carmaker into a developer of an intelligent, user-driven mobility ecosystem.”
The V23 measures 4,220 mm in length, 1,915 mm in width, and 1,845 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. Its design balances a confident, off-road-ready stance with a practical and comfortable interior. Short overhangs provide a 42-degree approach angle, 41-degree departure angle, and 40% gradeability. Ground clearance of 210 mm allows the SUV to traverse challenging terrain and water depths up to 600 mm.
Two powertrain options are offered in Malaysia. The 2WD variant features a single rear-mounted motor producing 100 kW (136 PS) and 180 Nm, paired with a 59.9-kWh LFP battery, delivering up to 360 km (NEDC). The V23 iWD offers dual-motor intelligent all-wheel drive, producing 155 kW (211 PS) and 292 Nm, with an 81.8-kWh NMC battery and a 430 km range. Both variants support AC and DC fast charging, with DC rates up to 104 kW on the iWD.
The V23’s safety suite includes six airbags and Level 2 ADAS features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, and Blindspot Detection. Millimetre-wave radar enhances detection accuracy, while a 70% high-strength steel cage frame and liquid-cooled Battery Management System provide structural rigidity and battery protection.
The cabin centres around a 15.4-inch QuadHD touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Comfort features include ventilated and massage seats, a 7-speaker audio system, and a versatile boot with 234 litres of storage expandable to 744 litres. Drive modes range from ECO and Comfort to Sport and Off-Road, depending on the variant.
Pricing for the V23 starts at RM119,800 for the 2WD and RM132,800 for the iWD variant, with deliveries beginning immediately. iCAUR Malaysia is also offering an Early Bird Package for the first 1,000 buyers, including a complimentary 7kW AC home charger, auxiliary instrument cluster, and extended ten-year or 200,000 km battery, motor, and power control unit warranty.
The brand is expanding its presence nationwide, now approaching 20 retail and service network locations across Peninsular Malaysia, with planned openings in Sabah and Sarawak on track for Q1 2026.
