PNB Declares 5.75 ASB Dividend For 2025, Payout Hits Record RM10.4 Billion

Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) has declared a total income distribution of 5.75 sen per unit for its flagship fund, Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB), for the financial year ending 31 December 2025.

The total payout amounts to RM10.4 billion, the highest annual distribution quantum in the fund’s 46-year history. The payout will benefit 11.4 million unitholders, bringing ASB’s cumulative total distribution since its inception to RM206.7 billion.

The 5.75 sen distribution maintains the rate seen in 2024, a feat achieved despite a challenging domestic equity landscape. While the FBM KLCI recorded a -0.3% price return year-to-date, PNB successfully delivered a return that significantly outperformed traditional savings benchmarks.

Key Performance Metrics: Competitive Spread: The distribution offers a spread of 346 basis points above the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit rate, which averaged 2.29%. Total ASNB Payout: Across all 18 unit trust funds, ASNB distributed a record-breaking RM15.3 billion in 2025. AUM Growth: PNB’s Assets Under Management (AUM) grew by 4.5% to RM364 billion.

“For over 46 years, PNB has been entrusted with safeguarding the hard-earned savings of the rakyat,” said PNB Group Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad Raja Tun Uda. “We are pleased to sustain the distribution, reflecting the resilience and strength of ASB’s investment portfolio.”

PNB is currently in the second year of its LEAP-6 Strategic Plan. According to Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad, President & Group Chief Executive of PNB, the group is firmly on track to hit its goal of RM400 billion AUM by 2027.

In addition to financial returns, PNB is pivoting toward increased financial literacy. “We are aware of the broader challenge of insufficient savings and the need to cultivate stronger habits among Malaysians,” added the Chairman, noting that the group will amplify its educational efforts across generations.

ASNB’s total unique account holders remained steady at 13 million, bolstered by the addition of 560,000 new account holders in 2025 alone, signaling continued public trust in the national unit trust manager.
