Dior’s New Summer 2026 Collection Feels Familiar—But Fresh

Jonathan Anderson has unveiled his first co-ed collection for Dior, launching Summer 2026 with a campaign that signals a clear change in tone for the House. Released at the start of the year, it sets out his direction early: more relaxed, more playful, but still grounded in Dior’s history.

The campaign stars Dior ambassador Greta Lee alongside Louis Garrel, Laura Kaiser, Paul Kircher, Saar Mansvelt, Kylian Mbappé, and Sunday Rose. Shot by David Sims, a long-time Anderson collaborator, the images are clean and pared back, pointing to a Dior that feels more open and modern without losing its polish.

Early reaction to the collection has been positive, with much of the attention focused on accessories. Updated Lady Dior bags appear alongside puffy sneakers and logo pumps, highlighting Anderson’s focus on refining recognisable pieces rather than reinventing them. The updates are subtle, but intentional.

The Lady Dior leads the rollout. First launched in 1994 and closely associated with Princess Diana, the bag has been refreshed with pale gold charms and a detachable leather bow, making it feel easier to wear day to day. It’s joined by the new Trianon bag, inspired by a Marc Bohan–era design, with a clean structure and a versatile chain strap designed for regular use.

Shoes and eyewear follow the same logic. The Dior Muse pumps reference Roger Vivier’s work for the House, updated with an elongated square toe, subtle crocodile-effect leather, and a small bow. The MiniCD optical glasses, with oval frames and discreet gold detailing, are already being tipped as a key style for 2026, while the Clover sunglasses add a lighter note through lucky charm motifs.

Appointed creative director in 2025, Anderson presented his first womenswear collection last October for Spring/Summer 2026, with pieces now arriving in stores. Taken together, the collection reads as a reset rather than a reinvention.
