Oceania Cruises is going adults-only. From 2026, the luxury line will welcome only guests aged 18 and over on new bookings. The move is designed to enhance the calm and sophisticated atmosphere that travellers say makes the Oceania experience so appealing.
Existing reservations made before January 7, 2026, that include younger guests will still be honoured, ensuring a smooth transition.
The decision follows feedback from repeat passengers, travel partners, and first-time cruisers, many of whom highlighted tranquillity, unhurried itineraries, and attentive service as the reasons they keep coming back.
Jason Montague, Oceania’s Chief Luxury Officer, said the change strengthens the essence of the cruise line’s journeys: sophistication, serenity, and discovery. “Guests consistently tell us they value the peaceful environment onboard,” he explained. “This step allows us to focus even more on that experience.”
Oceania’s ships are intimate and design-led, offering what the line calls The Finest Cuisine at Sea®. Its itineraries cover over 600 ports in more than 100 countries, with voyages ranging from a week to over 200 days.
Looking ahead, four new Sonata Class ships are due to join the fleet between 2027 and 2035.
