YouTube Rolls Out AI For Personalized Videos And Games

YouTube is launching a new AI feature that lets users create digital versions of themselves for videos, according to a report by The Star. Set to roll out this year, it allows creators to insert their face and voice into short clips, matching the cameo tool introduced by OpenAI’s Sora app last year.

CEO Neal Mohan calls AI “the next big leap” for content creation, comparing it to game-changers like the music synthesizer and Photoshop.

More than a million channels already use YouTube’s AI tools daily, and 2026 will bring a bigger expansion. Creators will soon be able to generate games from simple text prompts, alongside videos featuring their likeness.

With Google pushing AI across Gmail, Maps, and its Gemini chatbot, YouTube is staking its claim in the intensifying race with OpenAI.

Mohan stressed that AI is a tool for expression, not a replacement for creators. YouTube will require disclosure of altered or synthetic videos and give users control to prevent unauthorised use of their likeness.

The platform is also cracking down on “AI slop”—low-quality automated content—by adapting anti-spam and clickbait measures.

For lifestyle creators, influencers, and vloggers, this could change the way content is made. Imagine generating a travel vlog or fashion haul in minutes, while keeping your unique voice and style.

With YouTube Shorts averaging 200 billion daily views and dominating US watch time for almost three years, these AI tools arrive at a peak moment for short-form content.
