Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), through its airlines Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, will operate more than 2,700 domestic flights during the upcoming Ramadan and Raya Aidilfitri celebration peak travel period, facilitating Malaysians’ journeys home to reunite with loved ones.
Malaysia Airlines will operate up to 1,557 flights, while Firefly will provide up to 1,176 services connecting key destinations across Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. The expanded schedule gives travellers greater flexibility and more options to plan their journeys.
To meet strong demand, Malaysia Airlines will upgrade aircraft on high-traffic routes including Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Terengganu, Miri, Sibu, Kuching, Tawau, Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu.
The airline will also operate red-eye flights to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Kuching, allowing travellers to maximise their travel days.
Both airlines are offering fixed all-in-one-way fares for key East Malaysia routes. Malaysia Airlines fares start from RM339 to Sarawak and RM399 to Sabah on selected flights, while Firefly fares start from RM298 to Sarawak and RM348 to Sabah.
These fares are available for purchase until March 29, 2026, for travel between March 17 and March 29, 2026 via the airlines’ official websites and mobile apps.
In line with the government’s festive travel initiative, fares on selected East Malaysia routes will also be capped, with Malaysia Airlines offering maximum all-in one-way fares of up to RM569, and Firefly up to RM548, for travel between March 17 and March 20, 2026.
