Heineken Malaysia Posts FY25 Profit Of RM459.3 Million, Declares RM1.12 Dividend

Heineken Malaysia Bhd’s net profit eased 2% to RM459.3 million for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2025 (FY25), impacted by softer consumer sentiment and the absence of a reinvestment tax allowance that had boosted earnings in the previous year.

Excluding the one-off tax benefit in FY2024, underlying net profit would have improved by approximately 4%.

Revenue for the year, however, edged up to RM2.8 billion, demonstrating resilience despite a challenging operating environment.

In the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2025, revenue rose 2% to RM839 million, driven by the November 2025 excise duty increase, effective revenue management and strategic commercial initiatives. Quarterly profit climbed marginally by 0.2% year-on-year to RM141.2 million.

Managing Director Martijn van Keulen said the group’s performance reflected the strength of its fundamentals despite market headwinds.

“Heineken Malaysia delivered a steady performance in 2025, underpinned by robust revenue strategies and efficient cost management. Despite challenging operating environment and softer consumer sentiment, we maintained solid profitability, demonstrating the resilience of our business fundamentals and the steadfast commitment of our people,” he said.

Reflecting the year’s performance, the board declared a final single-tier dividend of RM1.12 per share, pending shareholder’s approval. The dividend declaration brings the total FY2025 dividends to RM1.52 per share, representing a 100% payout ratio.

Meanwhile, he told BusinessToday that there will not be any price hike for this year despite the challenging environment.

Looking ahead, van Keulen cautioned that macroeconomic uncertainty, inflationary pressures and the impact of higher excise duties may continue to weigh on demand.

“We remain focused on productivity improvements and operational efficiency, strengthening our core business through portfolio and channel optimisation, and the acceleration of our digital transformation to deliver long-term value,” he added.
