A major new hotel has landed in Selangor. Hilton has officially opened Hilton Shah Alam Glenmarie, a 261-room property overlooking the fairways of the Glenmarie golf courses and marking the first of several Hilton launches planned in Malaysia this year.
Positioned in Klang Valley, the hotel is about 10 minutes from Subang Airport and 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, making it a practical base for both business and leisure travel.
Key attractions are just a short drive away, including Sunway Lagoon, the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Wet World Water Park Shah Alam and Shah Alam Botanical Garden.
The accommodation is tailored to suit short breaks, business trips and extended stays. Options include standard king and twin rooms, deluxe rooms overlooking the golf course and premium executive rooms with duplex and balcony layouts.
There are 34 connecting rooms designed for families or groups, as well as 25 suites that provide additional space and flexible sleeping arrangements.
Dining is spread across five distinct venues. Gingerfire serves local and international dishes throughout the day, while Garden Terrace offers Malaysian and Western cuisine in a more relaxed setting.
Fūrin delivers Japanese cuisine in a refined environment with private dining rooms. Glen Lounge transitions from coffee and afternoon tea to evening drinks, and Pine Café covers grab-and-go options.
Leisure facilities extend beyond the expected. An Olympic-sized swimming pool, children’s wading pool and 24-hour fitness centre are joined by sports courts, table tennis, a playground and a karaoke lounge.
Golf remains central to the experience, providing guests with a direct access to Glenmarie Golf and Country Club and its two 18-hole courses and driving range.
The hotel is also targeting the events market. It’s more than 2,800 square metres of meeting space, including the 556-square-metre Glenmarie Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 guests.
There are also smaller meeting rooms and the Cullinan Event Hall, featuring natural daylight and views of the golf course. Corporate conferences, weddings and social events are all clearly catered for.
