The Road Transport Department (JPJ) Malaysia will launch the JPJvBID application on March 10, introducing a digital platform to manage public auctions of seized and forfeited vehicles entirely online.
JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli described the initiative as a strategic move to enhance transparency, efficiency, and integrity in disposing of impounded vehicles.
The pilot phase begins in Selangor with 30 vehicles, including motorcycles, cars, and scrap, before expanding across the country. “After launch, physical inspections end. Bidders will rely entirely on the vehicle images in the app,” he told reporters.
Previously, bidders had to visit storage sites and attend auctions in person. Now, they can view vehicle details and images, consult a Vehicle Rating Report for guidance, purchase an e-catalogue for RM50 per auction series, and place bids online. E-catalogues will be available from March 18, and the first online auction runs from April 1 to 5.
JPJvBID are available starting March 10 on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery. Users can log in with an existing MyJPJ ID or register a new account via the official JPJ portal.
