The government will not hold any open houses for Aidilfitri as part of cost-saving measures amid the economic fallout from the Middle East conflict.
Speaking at a press conference today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said government-linked companies and government-linked investment companies have also been instructed not to hold Aidilfitri open houses.
Anwar stated that this is merely a cautious measure regarding expenditure, considering the potential ramifications of the conflict.
He also assured that Malaysia’s oil supply remains stable, with petroleum products remaining sufficient at best until May 2026, despite the ongoing crisis.
