Kuala Lumpur Set As Regional Hub For Practical Corporate Innovation And AI Adoption

The Corporate Innovation Global Summit is set to convene global innovation leaders, C-suite executives, policymakers, investors and innovation-ready startups and SMEs in Kuala Lumpur on April 23, 2026.

Organised by NEXEA, the summit aims to position Malaysia as a regional hub for practical corporate innovation and public-private collaboration.

Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, Malaysia, will deliver the Ministerial Address, highlighting the government’s vision to strengthen the digital economy by supporting startups, encouraging investment and fostering collaboration between corporates, innovators and ecosystem leaders.

The full-day, in-person event will focus on real-world deployment rather than theoretical innovation, connecting corporates with startups and SMEs offering solutions in AI, digitalisation, productivity and scalable technologies.

CEO of NEXEA, Ben Lim, said, “Too much corporate innovation today is still innovation theatre—great presentations, but very little real deployment. Many companies are still copying Silicon Valley playbooks that simply don’t work in Southeast Asia.”

The summit will feature keynotes from international innovation leaders Christoffer Erichsen, Wendy Kho and Koichi Takano, alongside interactive sessions including a Pitching Showcase, Ask Me Anything and a Live Audience Quiz designed to benchmark innovation maturity among participants.
