Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (AZRB) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd has been served with a winding-up petition by Nurachem Sdn Bhd over an outstanding payment dispute.
The group said the petition was filed at the High Court of Malaya on March 13, 2026, and subsequently served on AZSB on March 25, 2026.
The petitioner is seeking to wind up AZSB over an alleged unpaid sum of RM318,601.40, relating to the supply and delivery of quarry materials.
Despite the legal action, AZRB said AZSB is not a major subsidiary and does not expect any significant financial or operational impact on the group. The company added that, aside from legal costs and related expenses, no material losses are anticipated from the petition.
The total investment cost in AZSB stands at approximately RM165.3 million.
AZRB said the subsidiary is currently in discussions with the petitioner to reach an amicable settlement, expressing confidence that the matter can be resolved promptly.
The group also clarified that the delay in announcing the development was due to ongoing negotiations conducted in good faith with the petitioner in an effort to settle the dispute.
