Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Zarith Sofiah have extended their Labour Day greetings to workers nationwide, recognising their vital role as the backbone of Malaysia’s development.
In a statement shared on social media, Their Majesties expressed appreciation for the dedication and sacrifices of workers across both public and private sectors, noting their contributions to the nation’s progress.
Sultan Ibrahim emphasised that workers play a critical role in driving economic growth and ensuring the country’s stability and prosperity, especially amid increasingly challenging economic conditions.
His Majesty also stressed the importance of safeguarding workers’ welfare, including workplace safety, work-life balance and opportunities for career development, to ensure they remain resilient in the face of economic uncertainty.
The King further conveyed his hope that all workers in Malaysia would continue to be protected and blessed with good health and well-being as they carry out their responsibilities.
