TH Plantations Berhad has announced the retirement of its independent non-executive director, Dr Nurmazilah Dato’ Mahzan, following the conclusion of its 52nd Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday.
The company said her retirement took effect in accordance with its constitution, marking the end of her tenure after serving on the board since September 2023.
With her departure, Dr Nurmazilah has also relinquished several key roles within the company, including her positions as chairman of the Board Audit, Risk & Governance Committee and the Board Level Disciplinary Committee. She was also a member of multiple committees, including the Nomination & Remuneration, Investment, and Tender Committees.
Dr Nurmazilah is a seasoned corporate leader with over 30 years of experience across governance, finance and strategy. She previously served as chief executive officer of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and is widely recognised for her expertise in audit, risk management and sustainability.
She currently holds positions as an authority member of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority and serves as a director of CIMB Bank Berhad.
