MISC Group has expanded its liquefied natural gas (LNG) fleet with the addition of two new-generation LNG carriers.
Built by Hanwha Ocean Co Ltd, MISC President and Group Chief Executive Officer Zahid Osman said the 174,000 cubic metre vessels are equipped with energy-efficient technologies, including the Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling system, and enhanced cargo containment systems designed to reduce boil-off rates and improve operational efficiency.
With the latest additions, MISC now operates four LNG carriers under long-term charter with SeaRiver Maritime. The group’s total LNG fleet has expanded to 32 vessels, reinforcing its position among the world’s leading LNG carrier owner-operators.
