BYD Sime Motors has launched the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 in Malaysia, making the country the first market in the Asia Pacific region to debut the upgraded electric SUV as the automaker seeks to strengthen its position in the growing EV segment.
The launch comes as BYD surpassed 32,000 cumulative vehicle sales in Malaysia, with the ATTO 3 remaining the country’s best-selling electric vehicle after recording more than 12,000 units sold nationwide since its introduction in 2022.
Available in Ultra and Premium variants, the refreshed ATTO 3 features improvements in performance, driving range, charging speeds and technology. The Ultra variant is priced at RM125,800 and comes with a 60.48kWh Blade Battery delivering up to 480km of range and DC fast charging of up to 110kW.
The Premium variant, priced at RM138,800, is equipped with a larger 74.88kWh Blade Battery, offering up to 600km of range, DC fast charging of up to 220kW and acceleration from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds. The model also gains a rear-wheel-drive setup, enhanced advanced driver assistance systems, a panoramic roof, seven airbags and upgraded seat adjustment functions.
Managing Director of BYD Malaysia, Jacob Ma, said the ATTO 3 remains a key model for the brand and has become the top-selling electric SUV in the local market.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of BYD Sime Motors, Adeline Lew, said the updated model has been tailored to meet the needs of Malaysian drivers through improved performance, technology and practicality.
To mark the launch, BYD is offering an ownership package worth up to RM14,000 for early customers, including a RM10,000 overtrade incentive for the first 500 buyers and a choice between a wall charger with standard installation or a six-year standard service package.
The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 comes with a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, alongside eight-year or 160,000km coverage for both the Blade Battery and drive unit.
