The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has detected hot weather conditions in three areas across the country, with one location in Peninsular Malaysia and two in Sarawak placed under Level 1 (Alert) status.
In its latest update, MetMalaysia said Machang in Kelantan has been classified under the alert level, while for Sarawak, Sri Aman and Lawas are also experiencing similar conditions.
The Level 1 alert is issued when maximum daily temperatures are expected to range between 35°C and 37°C for at least three consecutive days.
The MetMalaysia advisory serves as an early warning for heat-related risks, urging the public to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during prolonged hot and dry conditions.
