MOHR To Ensure TVET RM50 Million Fund Well Utilised

The Human Resources Ministry (MOHR) has pledged to ensure that the additional RM50 million allocations for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) 2.0 is fully and effectively utilised to strengthen Malaysia’s skills development ecosystem.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan said the ministry will optimise the funding from the High-Impact Programme fund under the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) to implement high-impact initiatives that benefit micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and position TVET as a primary pathway for national talent development.

He said the allocation reflects the government’s continued commitment to producing a resilient, highly skilled workforce aligned with industry needs and future economic demands.

“This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to developing future talent that is resilient, highly skilled and aligned with industry requirements,” he said.

Ramanan added that the funding will open up more opportunities for youth, workers and MSME entrepreneurs to upgrade their skills and participate in high-value sectors, while also strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional investment destination and talent hub.

He highlighted that the RM50 million will be channelled through coordinated programmes under the National TVET Council and PTPK, with a focus on strategic growth areas including electrical and electronics, the green economy, blue economy and orange economy.
