Sum Technology Bhd has secured a RM20.46 million contract to design and build a semiconductor cleanroom facility in Perak, strengthening its order book and revenue visibility ahead of its ACE Market listing on June 18, 2026.
The contract was awarded by K Test Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the development of a Class 100K (ISO 8) certified cleanroom facility at the K-Test Ipoh Pengkalan Plant toSum Technology’s wholly owned subsidiary Sum Technic Sdn Bhd.
The contract involves full design-and-build works, including electrostatic discharge flooring, vacuum-insulated liquid nitrogen piping systems, oil-free compressor installations and regulatory approvals, with completion targeted for Feb 28, 2027.
K-Test is a subsidiary of South Korea’s K-Test Co Ltd, which operates in outsourced semiconductor assembly and test, a critical segment of the global semiconductor supply chain.
The contract reinforces Sum Technology’s positioning in high-specification engineering solutions for mission-critical facilities, particularly amid rising investments in semiconductor, data centre and electric vehicle-related manufacturing in Malaysia.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Lee Thiam Hing said the contract reflects the company’s strengthening role as an engineering partner for semiconductor-grade infrastructure, adding that demand for advanced cleanroom systems is accelerating alongside industry expansion.
The win comes ahead of the company’s listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market.
