This Indie Game Soundtrack Is Getting A Full Orchestral Concert In KL

A cult indie game soundtrack is getting the full orchestral treatment in Kuala Lumpur next year, as UNDERTALE: The Determination Symphony World Tour lands at KLCC with a live 25-piece orchestra and in-game visuals projected on stage.

The concert takes place on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 8 pm at the Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Presented by Singapore Street Festival Limited, it is part of a global tour bringing UNDERTALE’s music out of the game and into a live concert setting.

Rather than a traditional performance, the show is built as a guided journey through the game’s story. Expect game locations like the Ruins, Snowdin, Waterfall, Hotland and New Home to be revisited through orchestral arrangements, with gameplay footage displayed above the stage to match the music in real time.

The score, created by Toby Fox, is performed in newly arranged versions that aim to capture both the quieter emotional moments and the more intense battle themes that made the game’s soundtrack so widely recognised.

Fox has previously noted his support for live performances of the music, pointing to how it changes in character when played by trained musicians.

The full performance runs for around two hours, including a 20-minute interval, and is conducted in English. Ticket prices range from RM150 to RM380, depending on seating, with both standard and restricted view options available.

Early bird tickets will be available from June 12 to July 5, 2026, before general sales open on July 6.
