Singapore Low-Cost Airline Themes Flights After Web-Crawler

Scoot is turning air travel into something a little more cinematic. The low-cost airline has announced a limited-time collaboration with Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, bringing themed aircraft and in-flight touches to selected routes until September 13, 2026.

Two aircraft — an Airbus A321neo and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner — will feature Spider-Man-inspired decals, themed headrest covers and an onboard soundtrack from the movie, designed to give passengers a more immersive journey without changing the fundamentals of a budget flight.

There are also small extras along the way. Passengers will be able to pick up limited-edition merchandise on board, including a flight tag or foldable eco bag offered as part of a gift-with-purchase promotion (terms and conditions apply), among other items.

The rollout begins with two inaugural flights: the Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Singapore to Tokyo (Haneda) on June 30, 2026, followed by the Airbus A321neo service to Chiang Mai on July 1, 2026. After launch, the aircraft will rotate across selected destinations in Australia, China, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand, with occasional appearances on other routes operated by the same aircraft types.

That rotation means passengers may end up on one of the themed planes without specifically booking it. Scoot says the aircraft will continue operating as part of its regular schedule, creating an element of surprise for travellers who might not be expecting a Spider-Man cabin.

The experience is designed to start before take-off. At Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, Spider-Man installations will be placed at check-in counters to extend the theme beyond the aircraft itself and into the airport journey.

Scoot’s Chief Commercial Officer, Calvin Chan, said the collaboration reflects the airline’s focus on offering more engaging travel experiences while continuing to deliver value. The themed flights will be clearly marked across Scoot’s booking platforms, with schedules subject to operational and regulatory approvals.
