Tom Cruise has often been recognized as an action star known for his death-defying stunts in “Mission Impossible”, “Jack Reacher” and more. In Digger, he returns to form as an actor.
As many know, Tom Cruise is unafraid of wild roles like the foul-mouthed studio exec Les Grossman in “Tropic Thunder” and the sinister Vincent in “Collateral”, and his new role as corrupt oil tycoon Digger Rockwell in what might be his most over-the-top performance yet.
Directed by Academy Award winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu, the satirical black comedy follows Digger Rockwell, the most powerful man in the world, racing to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything. Joining the cast are Academy Award nominees Jesse Plemons and Sandra Hüller, alongside Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Robert John Burke, Burn Gorman, Pip Torrens, Emmy nominee Michael Stuhlbarg, and Emmy winner John Goodman as the President of the United States alongside Academy Award nominee Riz Ahmed as Ganesh, the President’s asisstant.
