Sunmow Holding Berhad’s subsidiary, Sunmow Construction Sdn Bhd, has amicably resolved a legal dispute in Bintulu after reaching a settlement with two defendants, who have agreed to pay RM380,000 in full and final settlement of the claims.
The company said its wholly owned subsidiary had received the sealed Consent Judgment issued by the Sessions Court in Bintulu, formally recording the settlement reached between the parties.
The lawsuit was brought by Sunmow Construction against Kong Choon Wei and Ting Yu Kwong.
Under the terms of the Consent Judgment, the defendants agreed to pay the RM380,000 settlement through 12 post-dated cheques according to an agreed payment schedule.
Upon full compliance with the settlement terms, both parties will have no further claims against each other arising from the legal proceedings.
Sunmow said the settlement is not expected to have a material impact on the group’s financial position or operating results.
