5.7 Scale Earthquake Rocks Mindanao, MetMalaysia Says No Tsunami Threat To Malaysia

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Mindanao, Philippines, at 4.11pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

MetMalaysia said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km, with its epicentre located about 171km south of Koronadal City, Philippines, at coordinates 5.0° North and 125.3° East.

The department confirmed the earthquake poses no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
