Harvey Norman is tapping into that demand with the launch of the Serta-Japan Exclusive Mattress Collection in Malaysia.
The collection was unveiled at the retailer’s Mid Valley Megamall flagship store in Kuala Lumpur, introducing two models — Grand Sirius and Natural Breeze. Crafted in Japan, the mattresses are designed with a focus on support, comfort and temperature regulation.
The launch was officiated by Jonathan Toh, Chief Operating Officer of Harvey Norman Malaysia, together with Indra Setiawan, International & Business Development Director of PT Duta Abadi Primantara (Serta-Indonesia), Eddy Ng, Lead General Manager of Harvey Norman Malaysia, Ong Hoo Beng, Country Manager of Serta-Malaysia, and Soichi Koyama, Marketing General Manager of Serta-Japan.
Inspired by Japan’s philosophy of refined living and precision craftsmanship, the collection combines advanced sleep technologies with premium materials to deliver a more restorative sleep experience for modern lifestyles.

The Grand Sirius serves as the collection’s flagship model, featuring Glacier Luxurious Knit, NaturaDuo Latex, ultra-resilient support foam and enhanced airflow systems. The Natural Breeze model focuses on everyday comfort, with a cool-touch surface, responsive support and continuous airflow.
The launch also highlights Harvey Norman’s use of AI BedMATCH™, a smart assessment system that analyses body profile and sleeping posture to help recommend suitable mattress options. Customers can also receive guidance from trained Bedding Specialists during the selection process.
The Serta-Japan Exclusive Mattress Collection is available at selected Harvey Norman stores, including Mid Valley Megamall KL Flagship Store, IPC Shopping Centre, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Mid Valley Southkey Johor Bahru and Gurney Plaza Penang. All models come with a 10-year warranty.
As part of the launch period, customers purchasing the collection can receive complimentary bamboo linen gifts until August 2. The Grand Sirius package includes a Bamboo Coverless Duvet worth RM1,129 and Bamboo Fitted Sheet worth RM829, while the Natural Breeze package includes a Bamboo Fitted Sheet worth RM829. The gifts are available in matching sizes up to King.
