Automotive and industrial electronics manufacturer Betamek Bhd has achieved Level 4 Smart Manufacturing recognition under the Industry4WRD Smart Manufacturing Assessment programme, marking a key milestone in its digital transformation journey.
The recognition was awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, Betamek Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd, for the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, digitalisation initiatives and smart manufacturing practices.
Betamek said the achievement reflects its continued efforts to improve operational efficiency, strengthen manufacturing competitiveness and support Malaysia’s Industry 4.0 agenda through investments in automation, digital systems and process optimisation.
The company has been enhancing its manufacturing capabilities to meet evolving customer requirements in the automotive electronics sector, focusing on productivity improvements, quality control and greater supply chain visibility.
Betamek Executive Director Muhammad Fauzi Abd Ghani said the recognition represents a significant milestone for the group as it continues to embed digital transformation and smart manufacturing practices across its operations.
Moving forward, Fauzi said Betamek will continue expanding its Industry 4.0 initiatives through advanced manufacturing technologies, automation and digital integration to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in the automotive electronics ecosystem.
