NationGate, Nestlé Power Bursa Higher As Gainers Outnumber Losers

NationGate Holdings Bhd and Nestlé (M) Bhd led Bursa Malaysia’s gainers as market breadth stayed positive, with 576 advancing counters against 550 decliners.

NationGate surged 20 sen to RM1.17 on heavy trading volume of 124.14 million shares, making it the second-most active stock of the session. Nestlé recorded the biggest gain by value, rising RM1 to RM93.

United Plantations Bhd advanced 30 sen to RM35, Critical Holdings Bhd climbed 24 sen to RM1.90, while Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd added 18 sen to RM29.28.

Tanco Holdings Bhd topped the active list with 132.92 million shares traded, edging up half a sen to 32 sen. VS Industry Bhd gained 1.5 sen to 23.5 sen, while SFP Tech Holdings Bhd rose four sen to 34 sen.

Among the decliners, Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd fell 46 sen to RM45.28, UMS Integration Ltd dropped 28 sen to RM8.03 and Hong Leong Industries Bhd lost 18 sen to RM18.42.

Total market turnover eased to 3.68 billion shares worth RM2.8 billion from 4.07 billion shares valued at RM2.84 billion on July 15.
