Stratus Global Holdings Bhd surged 145% in its Main Market debut on Bursa Malaysia, opening at RM1.96 or RM1.16 above its IPO of 80 sen.
A total of 29.18 million shares changed hands at the opening bell, reflecting strong investor demand for the cleanroom automated material handling system specialist.
Listed under the stock name “STRATUS” and stock code “5356”, the company raised RM285 million from the issuance of 356.25 million new shares. It has an enlarged issued share capital of 1.25 billion shares following the listing.
Stratus Global provides automated material handling solutions for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including conveyor-based and hybrid systems, automated storage and retrieval systems, and its proprietary IntelliMove transport control software.
Of the IPO proceeds, RM122.6 million will fund the expansion of its facilities, including a new manufacturing plant in Penang. Another RM45 million has been allocated for research and development, RM20 million for overseas expansion and RM82.4 million for working capital.
Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer Ryo Narisawa said the listing would strengthen the company’s manufacturing capacity, research capabilities and support for customers across key semiconductor markets.
