Eco-Shop’s Full-Year PATAMI Jumps 29% To RM264.6 Million

Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd’s profit after tax and minority interests (PATAMI) rose 29% to RM264.6 million for the financial year ended May 31, 2026 (FY26), supported by store expansion, improved margins and stronger operational efficiencies.

According to Chief Executive Officer Jessica Ng, the company’s full-year revenue also increased 4.6% to RM2.9 billion as the value retailer opened 100 new stores during the year, strengthening its position in Malaysia’s dollar-store retail segment.

“Fourth-quarter performance was also robust, with PATAMI surging 44.9% year-on-year to RM72.6 million. Revenue climbed 12.2% to RM772.9 million, driven mainly by a net addition of 33 stores during the quarter.

“The growth in quarterly earnings also reflected better margins and the absence of one-off IPO expenses incurred a year earlier,” she said.

Moving forward, Ng revealed that the company plans to open another 100 stores in FY27 while accelerating its refurbishment programme and rolling out an enhanced customer relationship management platform.

“Eco-Shop currently has about 2.5 million members, whose average basket sizes are significantly higher than those of non-members, providing further opportunities to strengthen customer loyalty and spending,” she shared.

Meanwhile, in line with the improved profitability, Ng said the company is declaring an interim single-tier dividend of 0.6 sen per share, payable on Aug 27, bringing its total dividend for FY26 to 2.15 sen per share.
