Singapore Stocks Edge Higher As STI Recovers From Weak Start

Singapore shares eked out a modest gain on July 24, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) recovering from a weaker opening to finish in positive territory.

The STI rose 6.58 points, or 0.12%, to close at 5,588.34, after opening at 5,552.31. The index had ended the previous session at 5,581.76.

The muted advance reflected cautious but resilient buying, allowing the Singapore market to buck broader pressure on technology-heavy global equities.
