Bursa Malaysia closed marginally lower on July 28 as investors stayed cautious ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s (Fed) policy decision and a heavy slate of earnings from major American technology companies.
The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI slipped 0.61 point, or 0.04%, to 1,712.48. It moved between an intraday low of 1,703.83 and a high of 1,715.02.
The broader market also remained under pressure. The FBM 70 fell 68.16 points, or 0.38%, to 17,901.86, the F4GBM eased 1.89 points, or 0.18%, to 1,026.10, the FBM Emas declined 21.46 points, or 0.17%, to 12,641.72 and the FBM Shariah shed 29.33 points, or 0.23%, to 12,457.53.
Meanwhile, VS Industry Bhd was the most actively traded stock, falling one sen to 22 sen on 121.91 million shares. Other most actively traded stocks include Tanco Holdings Bhd, which gained 1.5 sen to 26 sen on 94.48 million shares, Zetrix AI Bhd added half a sen to 69 sen with 93.75 million shares changing hands, SNS Network Technology Bhd slipped two sen to 54 sen on 54.15 million shares and Dagang NeXchange Bhd also lost two sen to 43 sen on 51.46 million shares.
