Singapore Stocks Open Lower As STI Slips 0.18%

Singapore shares opened slightly lower on Monday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) falling 10.16 points or 0.18% to 5,618.34 as investors started the new trading week cautiously.

As of 9.09am, 98 counters were advancing against 104 decliners, with about 83.22 million shares worth S$205.80 million changing hands.

Among the key blue-chip counters, DBS gained 27 cents or 0.37% to S$74.29, while OCBC Bank was at S$29.08. UOB slipped to S$43.26 and Seatrium was at S$2.22.

Keppel traded at S$11.21, Singtel at S$4.39 and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding at S$3.95.
