AWC Secures RM23.1 Million Data Centre Works Contract

AWC Bhd has secured a RM23.1 million subcontract for plumbing, silo tank and internal sanitary works at a data centre project, marking its Engineering Division’s third data centre contract in the past 12 months.

The Main Market-listed engineering services group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Qudotech Sdn Bhd, accepted the letter of award from a joint-venture contractor on Aug 6.

The contract is scheduled for completion by June 2027 and is expected to contribute positively to AWC’s earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2027.

Group Chief Executive Officer and President Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said the three data centre wins secured over the past year showed that the segment had developed from an emerging opportunity into a consistent source of work for the group.

“As demand for data centre infrastructure continues to accelerate, we are increasingly recognised as a trusted partner for complex, mission-critical projects,” he said.

AWC’s outstanding order book stood at RM865 million as at end-March 2026, excluding the latest contract. The group said contracts secured during FY26 had begun contributing to its results, with further momentum expected as execution progresses.
